Nick Hawkins

Managing Director

Nick is a multidisciplinary Environmental Consultant with over 20 years of experience specialising in daylight/sunlight, acoustics and air quality.

Nick has been Managing Director of Hawkins Environmental in 2010. Nick’s first paper was published in July 2008 at the EuroNoise Conference in Paris. Nick is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics, a Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management and a Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences.

Nick studied Environmental Science at the University of Southampton and International Development at the University of East Anglia.

Emily Hawkins

Director

Emily is a Director of Hawkins Environmental. A former Daylight Consultant, she is also a part-time Secondary School Teacher of Technology and was previously a Science Teacher.

Emily studied at the University of Southampton and the University of Liverpool.

In her free time, Emily enjoys baking cakes for the office.

Will Totty

Senior Environmental
Consultant

Will is an Environmental Consultant working primarily in the field of air quality, specialising in assessments for planning applications, appeals and Environmental Impact Assessment. Will works on both desktop assessments of air quality using ADMS as well as field surveys of air quality, dust and odour.

He has also contributed to work in the fields of Acoustics and Daylight. Will studied Environmental Diagnosis and Management at Royal Holloway, University of London and Chemistry at the University of Warwick.

Mathew Vaughan

Acoustic
Consultant

Mathew is an Acoustic Consultant working principally with the field of acoustics and has a keen interest in noise and vibration control, environmental acoustics and building acoustics.

Mathew also holds a BS (Hons) as well as an MSc in Applied Acoustics from Solent University. In his free time, Mathew enjoys creative arts and technology.

Fiona Elsley

Environmental
Consultant

Fiona is an Environmental Consultant specialising in daylighting, light and air quality. With a background in lighting design and lighting impact assessment, Fiona also undertakes daylight/sunlight impact assessments and internal daylight assessments in accordance with the BRE Guidance.

Fiona was a founder member of the Women Lighting Professionals project for the Institute of Lighting Professionals. Fiona has BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Brighton.
