Hawkins Environmental Limited is a specialist Urban Environmental Consultancy providing technical environmental services to architects, planning consultants and property developers. At Hawkins Environmental, we provide daylight/sunlight, noise, vibration, air quality and odour reports for planning applications, Pre-App Submissions, Permitted Developments, Planning Appeals, Masterplanning, the discharge of Planning Conditions, BREEAM Assessments, advice to inform Planning Objections and chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

We are looking for a Daylight Consultant to join our team. We are looking for someone who can carry out:

• Daylight/Sunlight Assessments for Planning Applications in accordance with the BRE Guidance;
• Overshadowing assessments of outdoor amenity space;
• Internal daylight analysis.

To be suitable for this role, we are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 1 year of experience working in a similar role;
• Has an understanding of the BRE Guidance;
• Has experience in using Sketchup, IES – VE and MBS Daylight for Sketchup (or alternatively is experienced with MBS Waldram Tools and AutoCad/Revit);
• Is able to work as part of a small team;
• Can speak and write English fluently;
• Has strong analytical skills;
• Has exceptional attention to detail;
• Is able to work independently with minimal direction;
• Excellent report writing skills;
• Has great Microsoft skills;

The role would be full time based in our Basingstoke office, but would consider flexible working for the right candidate.
